Prasanna Vithanage and his film crew have been out on location since the end of last month shooting ‘Ira Madiyama’.

Filming initially commenced in the capital city Colombo, and, after a week, moved over to Anuradhapura, Talaimannar and later to Kalpitiya where the bulk of the scenes will be shot.

Vithanage is happy with the performance of this cast and crew, and says that they all work as a team. “Team spirits is very strong and motivation very high”. Whatever initial apprehensions have vapourised into thin air, and filming is now in full progress.

The ‘Director’s Diary’ in the Ira Madiyama website brings you a more detailed update of the action on location.

Earlier on in August this year, the Ira Madiyama website was launched to a large and representative gathering of invitees which included the local and foreign media. It has since been ‘visited’ by a large number of persons both in Sri Lanka and overseas, generating very favourable and encouraging comments.
