Prasanna Withanage's Purahanda Kaluwara (Death on a Full Moon Day), a haunting tale of a father's undying love for his son presumed killed in action, won the award for the Best Film at the 27th Sarasaviya Film Festival awards presentation at the BMICH, Colombo, yesterday.

Joe Abeywickrema picked up the Best Actor's award for his lead role in Purahanda Kaluwara.
