"Prasanna Vithanages's Anantha Rathriya (Dark night of the soul) is an outstanding film.

More than the physical presence of the characters and the situations which are unfolded, a parallel world of unspoken words and unseen events is also unveiled. The director ably paints the mindscapes of the characters in a vivid way.
